House of Bricks Reflection

My favourite Lego activity was mosaic because I enjoyed being able to keep my ideas and I like working individually when I can. My least favourite Lego activity was pass the bricks because the group I was with did not listen to the instructions and kept breaking them and making towers out of them. The activity that tested my perseverance the most was pass the bricks because I did not get back the idea that I had in mind. The most challenging activity was making the cars because we had to keep changing our car. I did not enjoy working collaboratively with others because I do not normally work with others while making lego.

Kids shouldn't bring junk food to school.

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog.

Today I am writing a bit of persuasive text about why kids should not be able to bring junk food to school.

Junk food

Dear Parents

Kids should not bring junk food to school. Mainly because it is bad for there teeth, but also because they are sharing it. Some parents don't like it when their kids have lollies, Candy, Ice-cream , sugar. Some kids are gluten free some are allergic to certain things that are in some sweets. I highly recommend you not put lollies in your Childs lunchbox's. Do you want to be the parent who has to spend a fortune of your Childs teeth I don't think so. Maybe you should consider having a piece of fruit or veg instead of  a sweet.

Sincerely Sovarne

Margaret Mahy

Introduction: On Thursday the 20th Tumu took a trip to town. We visited the waka, Mrargaret Mahy,Victoria square and to feed the Tuna and learn the stories of the mats all over town.

Waka : We went on the waka first. The instructors taught us some simple instructions in māori so we were ready to jump on the waka. There was a girls boat and a boys boat. We went back and forth twice chanting HI HA HI HA the second time we sang E minaka ana,Waiata, and a few other songs then we jumped out.

Victoria square: We did this 2nd. We saw a huge Captain James Cook statue and a gigantic Queen Victoria statue. There was a Kai table there because it used to be called Market Square.Lastly we got to sketch the pou with paper and a pencil the pou had huge people carved into it. Their eyes were made out of paua shells and black circles of wood. To me it looked like lots of parents looking after their children.

Margaret Mahy : We went to Margaret Mahy 3rd we did a scavenger hunt first we found some interesting things around the playground, then we learned what the circle of stories meant. Lastly we got to trace the pictures on the story circle.

Tuna/Mats: We did this last. First we feed the tuna some cat food on a spoon. Then we learnt the stories of the paved mats. The mats are actually bricks just sideways with a layer of dirt and mud under which means it is about 60cm deep.

My favourite part of the trip was Margaret Mahy because we got to learn what the circle of stories means and at the end we got to trace the pictures on the pavings.

Something I learnt was not to drop the spoon into the water because the eels live there and they could eat the plastic.

The thing I found the most interesting was learning the stories of the mats

This trip has helped me with my P.B.L because it taught me how to find out information about

The things I need to know for my future P.B.L

What is our favourite part at Margret Mahy?
